Letting You In On A Well Kept Secret
by Shawn Smith- Nov 6, 2006
Allow me to let you in on a well kept secret.
The secret is that we empower that which we give thought to.
And we empower that which we resist.
For in that act of resistance we draw attention to that which we resist and in doing so we attract more of it into ourselves. The human mind only creates in pictures.
It does not understand the "I don't want" or "not" or "never," etc., and thus ignores these words.
When we say, for example, "I don't want" pain or war or disease etc., the mind ignores the "I don't want" part and only concentrates on the pain or war or disease etc.And like a magnet it is drawn to us and manifests into a full blown reality.
We don't even have to utter the words- it is enough to just think or feel these things in our bodies.
Do you understand?
When we resist war we create more war.
When we resist pain we create more pain.
When we resist disease we create more disease.
We become what we think about whether we want it or not.
We attract to ourselves what we think.
We must stop resisting and start embracing.
Dr John DeMartini made a profound statement and encapsulates what I am trying to say: "
What we think about and thank about, we bring about."In essence, thoughts become things.
Additionally, poet and essayist Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote: "Beware what you set your heart upon. For it shall surely be yours."Numerous thinkers throughout history have said the exact same things, but few know the reality of it.
What are you thinking about right now?
What are you drawing into your life on a daily basis?
I invite you to stop resisting.
Embrace love
Embrace peace
Embrace joy
Embrace life
